How It Works

Two powerful tools, one window

1

Add Audio

Drag & drop files, import from Music Library, or reopen recent files in one click.

2

Choose Output

Pick from 9 formats, set codec, sample rate, bitrate, and channel layout — per file or globally.

3

Convert or Cut

Convert entire files in batch, or cut segments on a waveform with silence detection and effects.

Features

Batch conversion meets precision cutting

Batch Format Conversion

Convert dozens of files at once between 9 output formats. Converter is completely free — no limits, no watermarks.

Per-File Customization

Each file gets its own codec, sample rate, bitrate mode (CBR/VBR), and channel layout — or apply one setting to all.

Visual Waveform Cutter

Load a file, see the waveform, create segments visually. Drag handles to adjust start/end points.

Silence Detection

Automatically split audio at silent passages. Adjustable threshold (-60 to -20 dB) and minimum duration (0.3–5.0 s).

Segment Effects

Per-segment volume control (0–200%) with live dB readout, plus customizable fade in/out for each segment.

Wide Format Support

Import MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, Opus, WMA, APE, AC3, DTS, CAF, AU, and audio from MP4, QuickTime, MKV containers.

Multi-Segment Cutting

Create multiple segments on one waveform, each with independent volume, fade effects, and export settings. Export per segment or merged into one file.

FAQ

Is the Converter really free?

Yes. The batch audio converter is completely free with no limits, no watermarks, and no trial counters. Convert as many files as you want between all 9 output formats.

What's the difference between Converter and Cutter?

The Converter converts entire audio files to a different format. The Cutter lets you visually select segments on a waveform, apply effects, and export only the parts you want — either individually or merged into one file.

What do I get for free in the Cutter?

You can load files, view the waveform, create and edit segments, apply effects, use silence detection, and preview everything. Only exporting segments requires a premium membership.

Can I save my cutting work?

Yes. Cutter projects are saved as .msfcut files, preserving your segments, effects, and settings. Available in both free and premium tiers — you just can't export without premium.

Does AudioCraft run natively on Apple Silicon?

Yes. AudioCraft is a Universal app with native support for Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel-based Macs, running macOS 12.3 or later.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

Never. AudioCraft processes everything locally on your Mac using ffmpeg. Your audio files never leave your device. No accounts, no uploads, no cloud processing.
